Most countries use a Value Added Tax (VAT). This is not a specific customs tax, but a general tax added to all goods and services.
In Norway the VAT is set to 25%. Exported goods are exempted from the tax, subsequently we have subtracted the VAT from retail prices,
displayed in other currencies than NOK (Norwegian Kroner).
Here is an example of how it works:
